Optical isolation

Avoid ground-loops, isolate noise sources from your setup, and access difficult locations

Photovoltaic power isolators

These isolators ensure galvanic isolation between the sensitive parts of your system, such as a pre-amplifier or a photo detector, and the power source. In contrast to batteries, the photovoltaic isolator provides power 24/7. The isolators are powered from a single rail source, and versions are available with single or dual rail outputs.

Single rail, +5 V output

The isolator is typically used to provide power for single-ended amplifiers, photodetectors, etc. Adaptor cables are available for commonly used DC power connectors.

Single rail, +12 V output

For devices requiring a higher supply voltage than +5 V this version with +12 V output may be the answer.

Dual rail, ±5 V output

The dual rail output allows powering DC-coupled amplifiers, for instance.

Dual rail, ±12 V output

This isolator addresses designs with operational amplifiers with a traditional rail voltage of ±12 V.

Fibre based power isolators

For the ultimate isolation a power isolator using fibres as the interface between the light source and the photovoltaic receptor is the answer. A fibre based solution allows you to power even large scientific installations while providing an extreme suppression of man-made noise. Different fibre lengths are available.
